It is Okay to Admit It

Go ahead. Admit it. How many of you have tried to do this in the past couple of days? There is nothing funnier than watching an amateur "trying" to do this.

Is It Just Me?

Does anyone besides me think this commercial is weird?! There is a commercial on tv that shows a little girl playing with the black pepper. Does she not have any toys? What is going on there. It was a long time ago since I was a child but everytime I see this commercial, I cannot help but think of my own mother's reaction if she had ever caught me playing with the pepper. I can just hear her now asking me if I realized how much damage that would do if I somehow got that into my eyes. Then, there would be that part about how the pepper belongs in the kitchen and how no one would want to use it after I had been dragging it around all over the house. Yet, on tv, this mother acts like everything is just fine after Suzy carried the pepper off. She even calls her into the kitchen and has her pepper the salad. That commercial is so weird that it gives me the creeps.

Remember When?

It takes me a long time to do ANYTHING. It takes a lot of effort to make anything around here and that is why my creations are few and far between. First of all, I have a "crafting" friend.

He just gets so excited when he sees me heading toward the craft room. Sometimes when he is running toward the craft room, his rear gets going so fast that it passes his front. He just loves to sit and watch me make something. Occassionally, he joins in by picking up something and "trying" to leave with it. Then, there is the mess. I hate messes and to make one tiny little card, I have to drag out all kinds of stuff.

But all in all, it is a lot of fun. Plus, it is really funny that Ollie gets such a kick out of it. He just loves crafting. I think it is all of the sparkle that I like to use. I am calling these ATCs "Remember When". There will be more in this series.

I must admit that I laugh everytime I look at this one though. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what that woman thinks is so funny when giant birds are headed right at her. Maybe she is laughing because she looks good in spite of impending danger. That is how my mind works. I do not think I am a "true" artist...well, at least one of this kind.

ATC Niche

I think I have found my niche. The ATC is just the right size for the amount of time that I have for creating something. Catch as catch can as they say. Plus, I can make the ATCs out of watercolor paper and draw on them. These are my first four ATCs ever. I know there will be many more to come because they are FUN! My favorite is Queen Cindy. Which is your favorite?

Round Robin Finale!

My last Round Robin book addition is complete...Cozy Cottage! Tammy, I hope you like my addition to your book. Tammy wanted us to make pages depicting our ideas of a cozy cottage. All of my ideas of cozy are here...you have your cat, you have your chocolate chip cookies, you have your cup of coffee, you have your comfy chair, you have your book to read, you even have a star shining through the window. Now I ask you, how much cozier could it be?

Take Me Back to school

This is the page I did for Lisa's Round Robin book called "Take Me Back". She wanted us to depict a time and place we would like to visit again. Oddly enough, I chose school. I am not sure why. I am still going to school. Even now I am torn as to whether I want to go to Summer school or take a semester off. I am very, very tired. And of course now, I am very, very sick and tired. Right now, I am leaning to not going in the Summer but we will see. I do not have to decide today. I will save that for tomorrow. ;)Anyway, more about the page I did...there is lots of pink because that is Lisa's favorite color. I put lots of books in because well, we know Lisa loves books! I put a rabbit in because Lisa collects rabbits. I tried to put some of everything she likes in her book for her. I even added a personal letter in there for her. I hope she likes it!

Ollie and Nigel Spar

This type of cat "exercise" goes on 24X7 at my house. It may seem entirely innocuous, and it is but the frequency of it becomes a nuisance at times. However, I love them anyway. :)

Little Alley Cat? No, Just Nigel

Nigel looks as if he has been living in an alley under an oil leaking car but he has not. Instead, he has been playing in the fireplace. When he was small, this was one of his favorite past times. I thought the days of having to wash him was all behind us. He has been up to his old shinanigans again! Believe me, it is much worse than it appears in these pictures. (Notice the filthy feet that leave little dirty feet tracks.) He ordinarily has no black on him;he is not a calico cat. He is a red and white tabby. However, I will just have to learn to live with it because soot does not want to come off!
