My house is 34 years old and I suddenly felt as if it needed more concrete. Just sayin'. No really, in my old age, I am just paring down. I do not want any carpet or anything that holds dust. I wish I could get a concrete couch! Might be kind of uncomfortable but would be super easy to clean, right?

I hear you about carpets! So, what is going on here?
Do you remember back in the 70's they built a lot of houses with 'sunken' stuff? Like dens, living areas, dining rooms, etc? Some even had deeper sunken "conversation pits". I don't like to converse in a pit or really do anything in a pit so I had it all filled in and made everything on level ground. Plus, this subterranean level is prone to leak like a sieve just like a basement. I like a clean modern decor so I am having the floors redone in etched concrete.
What a cool idea! I do remember those sunken rooms. Don't blame you!
